Jean, Jean, Jean

Jean Seberg is so amazing and beautiful and stylish. She makes me want to keep my hair short. Bonjour Tristesse came in my mailbox today, I can't wait to watch it tomorrow morning.

Dresses, Musica, Kitten and Ponies

I found my camera!
I was in Brooklyn Friday afternoon and I went on a shopping spree.

Dress: Vice Versa in Willamsburg
Bag: Salvation Army 23rd and 3rd Ave
Shoes: Salvation Army 21st and 8th Ave
Belt: Northern Thrift in Huntington, Long Island

I've passed by Vice Versa a few times and finally went in on Friday. They've got really nice looking bags and so so so many dresses, it was great. Most of the dresses were $20, this one was only $15 and it fits really well. I see a lot of dresses with this kind of shape and they're usually too big and unflattering, but this one is so perfect on me it's my new favorite.
You can't see the details of the accessories too well in the photo, my apartment has such funny light. This bag cost my $3 and it's like amazing it's got great pockets, it's such a good size, and it's grandma enough but not too grandma, which is awesome.

Dress: Salvation Army in Willamsburg on Bedford
Shoes: Northern Thrift in Huntington, Long Island

I can't wait to wear this dress for an Elbis Rever show this summer! I had heard that the Salvation Army in Williamsburg is picked over and no good but I think maybe people just don't know how to shop cause I picked this up for $6.99 and it's amazing. The shoulder pads were HUGE but I just cut them out and it's so much better.

Dress: Buffalo Exchange in Williamsburg

The lining of this dress is full of weird holes, like it got dry cleaned with the wrong chemicals or something. But I don't care cause the fabric is so cool, and the outer layer is in perfect condition with these great pleats. Buffalo Exchange is always full of some crappy shit, but I'm always ending up with something weird and awesome from there. I have this tiny red spandexey dress with a big ruffle that I got from there, you'll probably see it at an Elbis Show, too.

Moviesss

Last night I watched This Is England.

This morning I watched Picnic at Hanging Rock

I loved both! You should go watch them.

I was going to post pictures of the dresses I bought this weekend, unfortunately my camera is buried somewhere in the mess I live in. Oh, well.

Thursday I went to the Vice magazine party and saw Vivian Girls, they're great.

On Friday, Mona and I started working on new songs, we have a new band that is still without a name. We're looking for a third member, ideally someone who plays guitar well, do you know anyone? Do they like Delta 5? Do they like to play love songs and monster songs? Let us know.

Mixtape #4

So... I've been bummed out for reasons basically everyone knows already, but tonight was fun!!! I went to a party with Dan and we danced for like an hour straight without stopping. It's 2 am and I was wasted like an hour ago, but I guess all the exercise wore it off.
Here's the next mixtape. I've been working on this one for a while I kept adding songs and deleting songs and changing the order, but I got a version I'm happy with, hopefully you are too! It started off as a summer dance playlist but you know how it goes. There are some of my longtime favorites on here...

1. The Castaways - Liar, Liar
2. Gang of Four - Is it Love
3. Françoise Hardy - Pourtant Tu M'aimes
4. Envelopes - Sister In Love
5. Nick Drake - Hazy Jane
6. Buzzcocks - Why Can't I Touch It?
7. Wire - I Should Have Known Better
8. Cilla Black - If I Thought You'd Ever Change Your Mind
9. Camera Obscura - Lloyd, I'm Ready to be Heartbroken

11. Suburban Kids With Biblical Names - Loop Duplicate My Heart
12. Mars - Helen Fordsdale
13. Suicide Commandos - Attacking the Beat
14. Big Black - Big Money
15. Jeanette - Ojos en el Sol
16. Elbis Rever - Dirty Polska/Vakacje

Tomorrow I am going thrifting to find Dan a vest for Berlin and I have the feeling I'll end with a couple of things too.... Sorry for all the blog neglect and lack of fashion. I don't even know what audience I'm trying to address right now. Whateverrrr goodnight!
